Our Commitment to Colorado’s Restaurant and Hospitality Community
Our commitment to Colorado’s restaurant and hospitality workers is personal. Kind Therapy Inc’s Founder and CEO began their career in the hospitality industry and deepened that connection through extended service on the board of the Colorado Restaurant Foundation. Today, Kind continues that work through ongoing partnerships, restaurant therapy programs, our staff therapy program, and direct mental health services for hospitality workers across Colorado.
Since 2020, Kind has raised more than $250,000 to expand access to affordable mental health care and has supported more than 2,500 restaurant and hospitality workers statewide. In 2025, the Colorado Restaurant Association recognized Kind Therapy Inc. as its Community Partner of the Year.
What began as an urgent response to unmet mental health needs has grown into a sustained commitment to providing therapy that is affordable, relevant, and accessible. We continue building practical pathways to care for the people whose work brings nourishment, connection, and hospitality to communities throughout Colorado.
Through the Colorado Restaurant Therapy Program, Kind became Colorado’s largest provider of therapy for uninsured restaurant and hospitality workers. That work continues to grow through this Denver Area Hospitality Access Program, which recently expanded access to affordable mental health care for more than 1,000 employees at Denver International Airport.
From independent restaurants and cafés to large airport workplaces, our purpose remains the same: to connect hospitality workers with therapists who understand the pace, pressure, and culture of the industry, and to make support available before stress becomes crisis. We believe this is how the mental health crisis begins to change: through affordable, timely care that helps people receive specialized support earlier and reduces the need for emergency and crisis services.
Ready to start therapy?
Affordable, confidential therapy for Denver restaurant and hospitality workers.
If you are feeling depressed, anxious, burned out, overwhelmed at work, or navigating a divorce, grief, trauma, or another major life change, you do not have to wait until things become a crisis. Kind Therapy Inc. provides donor-funded therapy for restaurant and hospitality workers who live or work in the Denver area, including Denver International Airport.
Your first consultation is free. During that appointment, a therapist will learn what support you need, answer your questions, and help connect you with the best-fit therapist. There is no waitlist, and appointments are available this week. After the consultation, eligible workers can continue therapy for $40 per session hour.
Our therapists understand the pace, pressure, emotional labor, and unpredictable schedules of hospitality work. Some have worked in restaurants and service environments themselves, while others specialize in supporting hospitality professionals with anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship concerns, divorce, grief, identity exploration, workplace stress, and trauma.
Kind does not accept or bill insurance. We specialize in serving people without health insurance and those who prefer to keep therapy separate from insurance. Care is provided through a HIPAA-compliant practice, and your protected health information is not submitted to an insurance company for reimbursement.
Spanish-speaking therapists are available. Hay terapeutas que hablan español. Nos especializamos en atender a personas sin seguro médico. Para ver el sitio en español, haz clic en el ícono del planeta en la esquina superior derecha.
The program is open to people working in restaurants, cafés, bakeries, bars, hotels, catering companies, event venues, airport hospitality, food service, and related hospitality settings. Not sure whether you qualify? Contact us and we will help you understand your options.
Hospitality businesses may also share this program as a free mental health referral resource. Add the link to your employee resource page, include it in onboarding or staff communications, or post the referral QR code in a workplace common area.
